How to sell a Rolex in Switzerland

Selling a Rolex to a professional dealer takes a few steps and usually a few days. Here is how it works at ELICANDRA sa, in Lugano.

The four steps

  1. Gather the details. We need the reference number (the four-to-six-digit number engraved between the lugs at 12 o'clock, visible when the bracelet is removed). Keep the box, papers, purchase invoices and service records at hand too, if you have them.
  2. Send the photos. Message us on WhatsApp with a few photos: dial, side of the case, caseback, bracelet with the clasp, and the documents. The sharper they are, the more accurate the first valuation.
  3. Receive the offer. We usually reply within 24 working hours with a clear purchase offer. We explain how the price is reached; the decision is always yours and commits you to nothing.
  4. Meeting and payment. If you accept, we check the watch together by appointment: at our office in Lugano or, if you prefer, we come to you, anywhere in Ticino, throughout Switzerland (including the German- and French-speaking parts) and in neighbouring countries such as Italy, Germany and Austria. Payment is made right after you accept: in cash or by instant bank transfer. You receive a receipt for the purchase.
